Kennall Vale Cheese is a small artisan cheese makers run by husband and wife, Trevor and Julie Howe, based at Gadles Farm, near Ponsannooth. The family have a history of producing cheese, with Julie’s great-grandmother walking several miles every week in order to sell cheese at the local market in Helston.
The cheese is placed into a cold room and left to mature for different lengths of time, this intensifies the flavour of the cheese. Ponsanooth, Cornwall. 13.10.15

The couple began producing cheese several years back in their family kitchen for their own consumption, but it wasn’t until last summer that they set up a small dairy farm just a few feet from where the cows are milked. This means that not only is the milk extremely fresh, but they are also able to produce both pasteurised and un-pasteurised cheese.
The cheese is all handmade and produced with great care by both the cows that produce the milk and the couple that spend days turning it into cheese. Such care and dedication to perfecting this has resulted in a gorgeous flavor that lures many all across England.
