Squashbox Theatre

Squashbox Theatre is an amazing independent theatre company ran by Craig Johnson. With a long history in theatre and an externeley creative mind, Craig has been able to produce multiple plays single-handedly, creating everything from the set to the narrative.
Craig Johnson uses creative and clever ideas as part of his show "A Christmassy Christmas" which he created and performed single-handedly at The Poly in Falmouth, Cornwall. Here he has created a small Fairy body to mimic the fairy that goes on top a christmas tree. 11.12.15

"My aim with Squashbox Theatre is to create shows that are funny, friendly, surprising, inspiring, unusual, informative (and a little bit subversive!), and which use traditional puppetry and storytelling skills in an exciting and innovative way. (And did I mention funny?) All Squashbox performances celebrate nature, science, generosity, tolerance and diversity, employing a wholly secular view of this astounding and beautiful world around us."

Craig’s perfomances include a huge varity of techniques, from creating shadow puppets to some marvlous acting. It appeals to both adults and children alike, making it a great day out for everyone involved. The shows are both spectacularly funny and educational and really invoke audience interaction to make sure the performance is as fruitful as can be!
