Kernow Art Doll Maker is run by the lovely Jane Booth. Jane works from her home in Liskard along with her handsome cat, Tom. She creates amazing and unusually crafted dolls consisting of different needle and felt methods.
Jane got into creating needle and felt work dolls a few years ago when looking for a new hobby, and since then she has mastered how to create fascinating and wonderful characters. Jane was also inspired by the use of cloth patterns, and now uses a variety of textiles to create the dolls.
Jane Booth works hard on sewing together a basic pattern to start one of her detailed and intricate hand crafted dolls from her home in Liskard, Cornwall. Such dolls can take months to complete. 17.11.15
By putting in a lot of effort and care into to creating each individual Doll they take on a life of their own, turning them into fascinating and amazing characters. This results in each piece holding so much care and detail, that it really helps the dolls come to life.
“One of the main things I love about making character dolls, is that you start out with an idea of the finished project but often projects/characters just have a way of developing on their own.”
